What are the Working Mechanisms of Tower Cranes?
The main working mechanisms of a tower crane include the following parts:
- Hoisting Mechanism:This mechanism is driven by two 45kW motors and is equipped with a hook upward limit switch to ensure safety during the lifting process.
- Trolleying/Luffing Mechanism:The trolleying/luffing mechanism includes buffer blocks and limit switches installed at the root and head of the jib. These are used to control the travel of the load trolley, ensuring operational accuracy.
- Slewing Mechanism:The slewing mechanism is driven by two 5kW motors and is equipped with a manual hydraulic braking mechanism to prevent the jib from moving under strong wind conditions, ensuring operational stability.
- Traveling Mechanism:The traveling mechanism for the crane base consists of a base frame, four outriggers, and four bogies. Proximity limit switches are installed near the ends of the rails to control the travel limits.
These working mechanisms collectively form the core of the tower crane, enabling it to perform efficient vertical transportation and component installation work.
