FIFA 23 Road to the World Cup Promo – Leaks, Details & Release Date

 

With the World Cup underway, much new and exciting content is coming to the FIFA 23 Ultimate Team.

 

The recent Path to Glory promo squad has brought us many new special cards. According to multiple sources, the next Ultimate Team promo will be titled "Road to the World Cup" to tie in with the ongoing World Cup content and bring more special player items to FUT fans.

The World Cup is about to get ICONIC.

 

Every year, during Black Friday, there will be several promotions, and this year, EA Sports will release the Road to FIFA World Cup team. There will be 2 types of new cards, the Road to the World Cup and the World Cup Icons.

The Road to the World Cup promo will be released on Friday, 25 November, at 2 pm ET / 6 pm GMT.

 

The event will run for one week and be replaced by the World Cup Stories on Friday, 2 December.

 

The Road to the World Cup promo will be a brand new event for 'Ultimate Team,' so we're not sure what to expect.

 

We assume new Road to the World Cup cards will be added to the packs, and more cards will be released via Objectives and SBC, just like during the promo event.

 

However, who these cards might go to or what kind of mechanics they might have is unknown.

 

More World Cup icons will be a big part of the promotion, with upgraded cards being added to the pack for a limited time, as we saw with the WC FUT Heroes in the Path to Glory promotion.

 

The World Cup Swap will continue with additional tokens available throughout the event.

 

Road to the World Cup will also launch on Black Friday, so expect to see plenty of Flash SBCs and reduced-price packs on offer!

 

So far, we haven't seen any leaks about Road to the World Cup players. However, all the World Cup Icons have been revealed.

 

Pele (OVR 96), Zinedine Zidane (OVR 95), and Cristiano Ronaldo (OVR 95) will all feature, with a further 30 icons receiving upgraded variations.
