Updates to Mercenary Rules and d2r items New Rune Words.We've had a great deal of comments from players on the subject of Mercenaries, and we are working to improve Mercenaries in a variety of ways. Many players appreciate this Desert Mercenary, and we seek to make it easier for using the other three Mercenaries. So we're investigating ways to enhance their abilities and stats so that they can enhance their authenticity and fantasies.

 

New Horadric Cube Recipes, Set Item changes, and new Rune Words are also on the in the near future! The new Horadric Cube Recipes being implemented will allow for upgrading the quality of items on Set Items to give more item build possibilities. Set Item modifications will make improvements to those that are not performing well with Set Items providing players with more motivation to hunt for partial and Full set items that can supplement the skill change mentioned to above. Also the new Rune Words will be added to compliment that of Skill and Mercenary changes coming in the update.

The runeword is called Unbending Will (Fal+Io+Ith+Eld+El+Hel) and it's basically a budget-friendly Breath of the Dying.

 

Unbending Will is available only played with open socket swords, which includes phase blades and colossus blades and comes with a base 330% enhanced damage modifier. It's only 20% lower than the Breath of the Dying edmg without any single high rune being utilized.
