Josh Brent has retired from the Madden NFL 24 to concentrate on his personal issues off the field, the Dallas Cowboys defensive lineman announced on Thursday. Brent has had numerous encounters with the law,Madden 24 coins and is currently facing trial on charges of drunken manslaughter, after allegedly causing the death of fellow Cowboys athlete Jerry Brown.
"This is the right thing to do for me, and something which I've given considerable amount of thought," Brent said. "I'm at a point in my life where my main focus is about getting my priorities in order. Priorities are more important that football."
KD Drummond of Blogging on the Boys says that this was the right choice for Brent as it should help clear his mind. The decision should also resolve some of the other issues that had been surfacing as Brent continued to play and deal with issues off the field, according to Drummond.
The Cowboys are no longer under the burden of trying to rationalize extending support to a player even in the face being in jail, could not prevent his from breaking the law again; regardless of how insignificant one might think of smoking marijuana.
The actions of Brent could be read as him accepting the situation he finds himself in and acknowledging the seriousness of the situation he is confronted with. If the legal case turns to Brent's advantage the only thing he has to do is remove himself from retirement. The rights he has are in the hands of the Dallas Cowboys and the league may then consider a possible re-consideration of a suspension.
Hard Knocks series gets mult-year extension through Madden NFL 24 Films, HBO
HBO and the Madden NFL 24 Films crew has extended their agreement regarding Hard Knocks, it was announced on Thursday. No specifics were made available regarding the terms of the deal however Madden NFL 24 Films' Ross Ketover referred to the extension as a "multi-year extensions" and stated that they'd be in the game for "a couple of years more."
This isn't a deal that the majority of Madden NFL 24 teams are likely to love, considering Hard Knocks has had issues with finding teams to play in the series, however, the fans are curious about what Madden NFL 24 team would like to see on HBO.
