EA Sports has announced several major changes coming to ball handling and on-ball control in Madden NFL 25.
New Ball Carrier Moves
The game features a revamped system for ball carrier moves, providing players with more control and options.

A new "hesi step" (hesitation move) has been added.
Tips:
- Controlling a running back or quarterback with the ball.
- While running, gently push the left stick forward.
- Quickly release the left stick, then push it forward again.
- Repeat this push-release-push motion to simulate an indecisive step.
Used in conjunction with fake moves, changes of direction and other actions, your running ball can be more threatening and can even cause trigger CPU defender breakdowns.

Juke + Spin: Players can perform a quick juke by flicking the right analog stick while holding the right trigger, then immediately follow it with a spin move by rotating the right stick.
Hesitation + Cut: The new "hesitation" mechanic allows players to briefly pause, then quickly cut in a new direction to fake out defenders.
Spin Fake: Players can start a spin motion but cancel out of it into another move, creating a spin fake.

-Hold the right trigger (R2/RT) when performing jukes and spins for quicker, more effective moves.
-Use the right analog stick for most skill moves like jukes, spins, and cuts.
-Combine the left and right analog sticks for more advanced moves like the "Ball Roll Cut".

"Lane Change": Hold L1/LB and the right stick left/right to perform a quick lateral cut.
"Drag Back Spin": Flick the right stick down then quickly left/right for a backpedal into spin move.
"Explosive Fake Shot": Perform a fake shot then quickly flick the left stick while running to explode out of the fake.

Significant upgrades have been made to catching controls:
A new "spectacular catch" button provides a larger catch radius but increases drop chance.

In general, the new ball-carrying movements and upgraded ball-catching mechanisms make the game more playable, but they are not easy to operate. When you don't have players with good attributes, these complex movements may not bring too good results every time, but for players with top ratings, operating them may make these complex movements have a higher success rate. But EA is getting more and more stingy. You can no longer get enough MUT coins in the game to upgrade and buy players. I, who am obsessed with these wonderful movements, have to buy some Madden 25 coins to upgrade and buy players so that I can enjoy these new ball-carrying movements and ball-catching mechanisms.
