Team at Grinding Gear Games continues to work hard on Path Of Exile. In addition to developing game's expansion, mobile and eventual sequels, developers are still looking to offer players new ways to play. During Thursday's launch event, studio co-founder Chris Wilson noted that PC version of Path Of Exile will receive official controller support. With addition of this feature, game will now be fully compatible with Valve's Steam platform, where players can buy POE Currency.
"We've been experimenting with game controllers that support PC version of Path Of Exile," Wilson said on Thursday's Path Of Exile livestream. "During Archnemesis League, we started testing controller and have been making improvements based on player suggestions and feedback. We're excited to Buy POE Orbs. This also means that currently , Path Of Exile is fully playable on Steam Deck for those lucky enough to have it!"
At this point, players who want to play Path Of Exile with a controller have only two options. They can play on Xbox and PlayStation. While technically playable on Steam Deck, it has some functional issues. Next week's Sentinel expansion pack should fix that and make Path Of Exile experience possible for console.
Steam Deck compatibility and controller support are just a few of issues addressed in Path Of Exile: Sentinel, Chaos Orb released Thursday. The game's next big expansion pack is sure to include A Massive New Alliance, Endgame Additions, Quality Of Life Improvements, Character Balance, Zero Character Balance, and more. Players can check out ongoing coverage of Path Of Exile on Shacknews, with further updates to come.
Players can play this game on different platforms, and it is joint efforts of technical staff behind scenes that make it more convenient for players to play game. Finally, all players will have a better gaming experience!
