I'm not an expert when it comes to the helms but if you're killing you need runescape buy gold the complete slayer helm for its bonuses (likewise Salve amulet if it's relevant) as well as Verac's helm.
In terms of boots, you'll prefer dragon. There are more comfortable boots, known as "ragefire" I believe but I'm not sure you'd want to invest your bank on these. For gloves, choose barrows gloves from RFD or potentially goliath gloves that are from dominion tower.
Goliaths need you to have done lots of quests and lots of arcade-style combat in a big tower full battle bosses. It's possible to find when you've caught up on the quest in general I'd imagine. For the ring, there's an extremely nice free ring that you can get in the quest "A returning to the stone" (I believe that's the name the quest is called).
The game begins in TzHaar city, in the pool of birth. It's the fremmenik attack rings' bonuses, as well as some very good reusable teleports, and a bonus combat feature against Tzhaar. Also, you can get the Berserker ring, which gives an extra strength bonus. Or you can purchase the explorer's rings, which includes alchemy spells that are free every day. Or you can get an Onyx ring and imbue it at mobilising armies. Look it up if want to know more.

The current combat for melee is: Helm of Neitiznot Amulet of Strength Dragon platelegs, Fighter Torso. I'm considering purchasing a Dragon platebody for better defence, or the DFS for Defense and str bonuses. Which do you suggest I go with and what is the reason? I do have 99 pros and a steel Dragon in my dungeon, so I can charge the shield. If you intend to take on a slayer, you don't need def, just pray Prossy pl8 and legs for prayer bonus, to guard against melee/(mage/range depending on the mission). Then, you can get fury or glory. It is recommended to get Glory if don't have the money to spend 9 million dollars on an amulet. Fury comes with very strong defence statistics in comparison to an ammy.. Along with better stats over glory.. A lot of sals believe that fury should be a necessity however glory is equally good.
Dragon defender over dfs cuz of the atk bonus. Because you're low on cash expl ring zerker because the prayer bonus cuts down the number of ppots available.. In addition, the buy osrs power leveling emergency teles, free run, and the ability to switch crap that you receive is very good.
