One of the remakes for Live a Live is set for release exclusively on Nintendo Switch in July, while a remake of Dragon Quest III is currently developing with D2R Items. There are several other games that can benefit from this style, which is why it's fascinating to learn what Square Enix does with HD-2D in the future. While the company has definitely invested in this graphic style, Asano went on to clarify that there is no currently a "definitive bible," and it will continue to evolve according to the game.
 
"We haven't come up with something like that. The way in which it's written differs from title to title, and so the HD-2D flavor is different each time. In the case of Live A Live for example it's the prehistoric setting that's different. prehistoric section is going to differ from the sci-fi setting.
 
Our options for expression have expanded thanks to the latest ideas we've devised. "While the cost might be prohibitive for some developers, HD-2D certainly has served as a major draw for many gamers. We hope to see Square Enix find new ways to expand on the style, for a lot more games to be released!

The PS4 was first released in 2013, the PS4 has gone on to become one of Sony's most successful consoles , but it's also been one of the top-selling video game platforms ever. But, Sony is now looking to sell the PS5 as the primary hardware, meaning that the PS4 will soon come to an end. Now, thanks to new guidelines from Sony and the PS5 we now have an idea of when the PS4 could officially go to the side.
 
As detailed in Sony's recent financial statement, it made clear that games for PS4 will be gone by 2025. This doesn't mean that legacy PS4 games won't be available for purchase. However, Sony is clearly planning to stop releasing new games on the system by this point.
 
However, by 2025, Sony is predicting that by 2025 the majority of its revenue generated by games will be from PlayStation 5, with titles on PC and mobile devices also contributing about a third of the revenue.
 
As a whole, this isn't surprising considering that the PS5 will be Sony's primary goal in the years to in the years to come with cheap diablo 2 resurrected items. Yet, it's worth mentioning that as of right now it's the PS4 is a platform that Sony continues to manufacture and releasing games for. In fact, the most anticipated PlayStation game God of War Ragnarok is expected to arrive on PS4 when it is released.
